I loved the museum but San Jose is over an hour from SF. Be sure to
stay for the planetarium show.

I liked the Build-A-Bear Workshop. I've seen them in other regions
since so maybe they were the founding store of a chain. We have a
couple of "California bears" that are made to look like the bear on the
state flag.

Food at grocery stores - Gallo brand salame rules. Please ship some
home. To your home, to my home, whichever. Strangely, Gallo brand
pepperoni is unimpressive and not as good as Hormel.

Finding restaurants in the city - Walk down hill until you see the
water. Look both ways for seafood places with a good crown inside. Eat
wonderful seafood. It's a simple but effective technique.
