Stilted? I had to wonder when I got to the part about how French troops
were the first to Eagle's Nest and got all their wine back. I watched
Band of Brothers and saw the episode about capturing the Eagle's nest
and finding all the wine, and he also talks about it in his book. It
seems there is some controversy over who was the first there, with
Americans and French both claiming the honours.
