Norther California / Sonoma Wineries?
Excellent suggestions, Bill... EXACTLY what we do when we head up
there!
I'd also recommend swinging by Seghesio, Alderbrook and Sonoma
Vineyards. Sonoma Vineyards makes a great ultimate destination if you
start with that picnic lunch at Dry Creek Vineyards and head up Dry
Creek Road hitting some of the smaller vintners like Unti and Talty on
the way. Keep in mind the smaller places might need a call in advance,
as they are by appointment. Those smaller winemakers often make for
great discoveries.
Don't miss the chance to swing by Seghesio, though.
