That is one benefit to living in the sticks. My regular grocery store
has canning jars, pectin, etc. year round. When we moved here I could
not believe they had canning jars in the front of the store in
December. Their prices are not bad either, especially when you run
out of jars in January and want to use up the fruit and juice that you
put in the freezer last summer.
