Milk has carbohydrates..... and, quite frankly, you *can* drink it
if you want on the atkins diet, just make sure you account for the
carb count when you tally your daily carb intake.... especially on
the initial induction phase. Furthermore, and contrary to other
diets before it, the atkins diet says to stay away from skim milk
because there is no fat in it to help counter your body's absorption
of the carbs; if you are going to drink milk, drink viteman D whole
milk.
Heavy cream is allowable because it has zero carbs.
