Kind of scary to think that your (probably) el cheapo toaster oven has a
more sophisticated control system than the electric ranges that many
folks here are claiming to have?
Or maybe it's just one of those things where you do things because
that's how they've always been done, and you leave the oven door open to
broil because back in grandma's day, the stoves didn't have a "broil"
setting, so you just turned it up all the way and left the door open so
the thermostat wouldn't ever turn the heat off!
