I don't like the canned refried beans, they are salty and fatty...
they may be drier but it's easy to add some water during heating. I
much prefer to season my own and I can control the quantity and type
of fat, I fry the pork in olive oil, and I pour off all but a couple
of spoonfuls. In that picture the beans had just begun simmering,
when done they were a lot drier. And canned refried beans cost a lot
more than plain canned beans, and since I'm cooking meat anyway it's
no extra effort at all to make em myself. The only seasoning
necessary is some Penzeys Adobo, but I add a couple things more, extra
black pepper and a light dusting of msg on the pork. I don't use any
hot pepper, I'm not a big fan of masochism, and my cats have to eat
that pork too. I learned a long time ago that whenever I see people
add fiery hot pepper it's to hide the fact that their food tastes like
shit (TIAD).
yes, without a doubt - people who don't cook with their cats' palates in
mind are shitty cooks.
Absolutely... cats won't eat shitty food... cats are the miner's
canarys of the kitchen.
so you relish half-dead mice as well?

Half dead mice, calf placentas. Now we know why they like Sheldon's cookin'. Taste of home. I guess I'll go against the miner's canary of the kitchen all the way down to Meow Mix.
I still prefer bone in the chop.
