Habaneros are too much for me. Too much fire, not enough taste. I do
like serranos, though. They make excellent salsa and ranchero sauce
for my eggs, but also taste really great just raw and fresh with a
morning taco.

And those extra sized japs.... they beg to be cut in half, stripped
out and filled with cream cheese based seafood dip, or any other mix
of cheeses, shrimp, wrapped or unwrapped with bacon and smoked.

The heavy rains we have this time of year usually make the peppers
oversized as they wouldn't normally get enough water to grow that
large. As it is, the fields flood and the peppers cannot be harvested
until they are king sized.

We will have the other peppers in soon, but they won't be as large
since they don't grow as quickly. I used to grow peppers in my
garden, but they are so cheap to buy around here they just aren't
worth the trouble.

And now (thanks again, Janet!) we have pork pork butts for less than
brisket! Gonna be a good bbq season.
