Basa is Pangasius, IIRC. Big seller in the restaurant business
since the fillets are easier to skin and can be sold as catfish at
the AYCE buffets and Friday fish frys.

But the other half of their purpose is to clean up the bottom of
tilapia ponds between harvests (bottom feeders). I still buy them
when they look well treated.
