I have had one for about 5 years. I use it a lot for making custards.
As a home ice cream enthusiast, that means pretty often.

Of course, I have rheumatoid arthritis so it is terrific for achy
hands, but knowing how well mine works, and frees me from standing at
the stove stirring for 6-8 minutes at a time, I recommend it - at
least the terrific unit I have.
