My favorite cheap wine is (was) Inglenook Chianti. But it seems to
have been discontinued, and the replacement (Chillable Red) is way
too sweet. Peter Vella Burgundy is pretty good, but I don't need 5
liters of wine open in the house.
I was at the liquor store this afternoon and someone told me to try
the Tisdale merlot for $2. I did, and it's OK but just a *little*
too sweet. It would be good with pizza.
I cut my alcohol consumption almost to zero 2 months ago because it
and my weight were starting to creep up, and I wasn't exercising.
I'm making an exception for Christmas and New Years weekends, and
it's amazing how much quicker I can feel a slight buzz after
abstaining for a few weeks.
