How do you change what tastes good to you?

Thanks. Beans (not green beans) are one that I really wanted to like
because of the fiber benefits. I cooked some a while back with an
ingredient I like, cabbage, and I couldn't eat it. The beans just don't
appeal to me. That's just one example.
My mom was/is an excellent cook but she tended to cook mainly meat and
potatoes type meals. That was my dad's style of eating.
