I don't have a half-bath off of mine, but George pretty much describes
our layout. Most of the house is open with the kitchen separated by a
breakfast bar that has wonderful cabinets and drawers on the kitchen
side. The bedrooms are on the other side of the house, along a hallway
separated by an arch from the living area. I have tons of counter space.

Office is off the dining area in a "safe room"

We have 3 bedrooms.
