Same USDA zone as here in Louisiana. We aren't going though. At about 3
pm this afternoon Miz Anne tripped over a small child at her school,
fell hard on the cement and broke her left hip. She's now in the local
hospital and we will find out from the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow if it
will be a pin, a partial, or a total hip replacement. I don't think she
will be going back to work before her retirement date comes up. Talked
to her principal and she and another assistant had reviewed the security
tape. It appears a pre-k student walked up behind Miz Anne while she was
ensuring the correct children got on the correct bus. She turned to walk
away and the child got between her legs tripping her. According to the
tape she deliberately threw herself away from the child to keep from
landing on her and landed hard on her left hip. I viewed the xrays
myself and there was a clear break above the socket joint. I see at
least two or three months of rehab and exercise after the surgery. I am
not a doctor but have had several working for me at different times in
my career in industrial safety. I would have expected her to do exactly
what she did, the children have always come first for her. I will
violate the charter and ask those who do so to pray for a speedy
recovery for my lovely wife. Thank you.
