One can do the same barrel with potatoes and a filling to then roast in
the oven till done. Very small birds or a nice meat mix, ground shrimp
and ground chicken mixed & seasoned is very good

I have a recipe for it that involves a small bird and a whiskey sauce
"Alouettes du pere philippe."
