We had a neighbour who ate local rabbits. Rabbits have been eaten by
all kinds of people but I won't eat them for one reason only. I used
to shoot rabbits to feed our farm cats. I noticed some little bumps
under the skin which were apparently parasites and wouldn't risk an
infection by eating them. Most likely thorough cooking would kill the
little beggars but I just can't get over feeling them through the skin
of their hosts.
