I forgot to mention bay in my litany. Got a six-foot bay tree in the
corner of the herb garden.
Use gumbo file'? Grow a sassafras tree, we have one about twenty years
old growing in the shade of the large oak in the backyard. Harvest the
young leaves in the spring, dehydrate, grind to powder - almost instant
file'.
