That doesn't prove anything. If you had died,
you wouldn't be here to say "You were right, Mark".
I never said everyone who does it dies. However,
it is an unnecessary risk. It's not like fugu or
duck confit where the risk might be justified by
the gastronomic benefit. You can make a perfectly
good mayonnaise without egg white or a whole yolk.
