Many years ago one of my daughters requested some Mexican food for her
birthday.
I zipped over to Tres Sierras (Mexican Market) for the goods I needed.
The female clerk looked at the purchases the at le then at the purchases
then at me again and finally said " Buenos Tardes" (Good Afternoon in
Spanish) I answered her in Spanish & we continued in Spanish.
I guess she figured no Gringo could possibly be purchasing that combination
of food.
