A real man eats his pineapple like his steak, raw.

I used my vegetable grate thing we got for grilling and just cooked em
till the outside was seared, which with all that sugar is pretty easy.
The idea isn't to cook it, but as you are guessing, to get a *bit* of
sear on it. They end up warmed through.
That's my approach anyway. I just did what seemed to make sense. SWMBO
handed me some rings and asked me to grill em, I said "okay" .
*shrug*.

You could puree them, add some starch and mold em into funny shapes
and bake em for all I care. I won't say you're wrong. Wierd, but not
wrong. <bg>
