My mother has been dead for 5 years, she won't be hurt. She was not a
fancy cook - didn't bake bread, didn't make cakes from scratch,
vegetables came from a can and you could tell what day of the week it
was by what was on the table. The thing she did best was make killer
roast beast... that meal was always great.

I'm sure she remembers all of that. She was probably talking about
learning to cook her hubby's favorite family foods.
