These analogies aren't perfect, but they are illustrative. Getting on
the NG and posting about this great new dish one has concocted is like
a guy saying that he went out and met this amazing gal, and they
stayed up all night making love. Posting about a new, creative recipe
that just didn't turn out well is like that guy saying that he met
this gal, and talked to her all evening, and he really thought there
was a spark there, but then he finds out that she's happily married.
A lady from the Upper Midwest posting about making a hot dish with
leftovers and condensed "cream of" soup is like the guy saying that
instead of going out, he just stayed home and masturbated.

His autoerotic evening might even have been somewhat pleasurable, but
is it really the sort of thing one has any business calling attention
to?
