I would never leave our dog in the car by herself while I went into
a restaurant to eat for hours. Weather-wise, there is a very small
window of opportunity for he car to be temperate during the year.

We look for patios (where dogs are allowed) if we want to bring her
with us. Otherwise, we leave her at home.
