Jill may have the same type grocer resource for fired chicken that I
do, and I fried chicken for many years as my boys were growing up.
The Stater Bros. grocery store here offers fried chicken pieces that
are every bit as good as mine have ever been, and I do enjoy not
having to clean up the frying mess. Also to always be able to have
just the pieces I prefer, in the single dinner plus two lunch sammies
amount I want for four dollars. I usually buy two leg & thigh pieces,
the legs for dinner and the thighs cut off the bones for two lunches.
Makes very good sense to me, three meals for less than five bucks,
plus all the bones thrown into my freezer bag for making stock.
