But the thaw time is probably longer than the cook time if only time is a
consideration.

Perhaps the OP made too many and wants to put them away for later use.
Short term, on work days if I want a hard boiled egg for breakfast, I make
them the nigh before. They will be at room temperature and 15 seconds in
the MW warms them.
