Tony is about Tony. That's his schtick. He admits he was never much
more than a working chef, in the sense he payed his dues. His true
talent and love is writing, mostly about himself. Nothing wrong with
that. He's boring as a chef, but an interesting guy, most of the
time. Take him on that level. As for criticizing other cooks/chefs,
everyone does that. You gotta admit, the ones he targets are the same
one's we gleefully lampoon.
