There are people in my family who sound very much like Paula Deen. She
may exaggerate her accent somewhat, y'all, but I believe it is real.
There was a young girl in church this morning named Destiny that sounds
just like Paula Deen (or my sister). Next time I see her, I will ask
her where she is from.
When I was a kid, I tried to get rid of my accent, but some of it has
stayed with me,especially when I am around my family. :-(
