My waffle iron is small - makes two square ones at a time - it has non-
stick grids - I think it's a Braun. It works great and is small
enough to fit in a drawer. I don't think I've ever used grease on it
- but I could have early on. I certainly don't any more.

If you are using grease or a spray, make sure the iron is hot before
you put it on.
