Sounds like the Santa Cruz mountains, we called it tap water. It was
really noticable in the shower, what with all the spray and all.
Stinky.

There was a fresh spring a few miles down the road that people used
for cooking and drinking water, we'd fill up a couple of water bottles
full every week.
