The Italian population in New Orleans, mainly from Sicily, call it
gravy. Period. Sunday Gravy usually has two or three different
meats in it.
This dish is called 'Creole' Beef Daube.....it's really a Sicilian/
Creole fusion and is one of my most favorite 'Sunday Gravy' type
dishes.
It's killer.
