But it's possible to get back out at least some of those killfiles by
posting brilliantly every now and then. I mean, isn't that why you don't
currently have *me* killfiled?

I've been in and out of quite a few killfiles, and it doesn't bother me a
whit when people killfile me: Killfiling is the Usenet equivalent of
sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-I-CAN'T-
HEAR-YOU!" It's not MY loss when someone chooses to disable themselves in
that way. I cheerfully admit (as I always have in the past) that some people
are better off not reading what I write. In March I wrote this:

| It doesn't bother me to be in anybody's killfile. Lord knows I don't mince
| words, and some people are poor at handling the stress they feel when they
| read some of the things I write. For those people, ignorance might not be
| bliss, exactly, but it's a lot better than enlightenment."

ObFood: Reading _Bones_ by Jennifer McLagan, I ran across the recipe I've
already decided to make for Easter next year: Lamb neck with dill, peas, and
lettuce. It's a brothy dish and is served in wide bowls, meaning now I have
to craft a menu which will not result in each diner having his or her own
constellation of plates and bowls.
