Publix prices are very competitive in the developed south. That is one of their
major business plan points. (My brother is a Publix executive.)

We visit Florida about six times a year, and find the food prices to be directly
comparable anywhere along the east coast from South Carolina to Miami -- which
is to say a little bit cheaper than we see in the mid-Atlantic.
