If there is such a thing as good vodka, which I'm assuming on the
basis of other people's opinions there is, although I have yet to
taste it. I don't mix the vodka. If I did I'd drink it too fast.
Been there, done that. But what I do when I take my shot is this. I
take a slug into my throat but don't completely swallow. In the
meantime I've opened a quart bottle of gatorade and from that I take a
sip and flush the vodka and the gade down as one unit. It doesn't
have to be gatorade, any kind of juice will do. But that's how I do
it. It takes away the cringe but doesn't make it so easy that I might
be tempted to slug the whole bottle down in too little time and awake
the next day with a brutal hangover. That is why when I buy a fifth I
toss 4 shots down the drain. Sounds like a waste of money, but the
stuff is so cheap that it's worth it in other more important ways.
