Excellent philosophy. But, there is always the doubt once the
life-crushing binge begins that maybe 80 isn't old enough, that maybe
you should wait till you're 90 to do it. It's like someone who
carries a cyanide pill every time they take a plane. In case it
starts going down, instead of having a heart attack or burning alive,
they pop the pill and die with less agony. But at the moment they are
to take the pill they are filled with doubt, wondering whether there
is still a chance the plane might right itself and re-gain control, so
they hesitate to take the pill.

I thought something along the lines of your philosophy when it
comes to AIDS. I think the gestation period of AIDS is like 20
years. So once you get to 60 or thereabouts you don't have to worry
that someone you're screwing might have AIDS. They can even open
special AIDS Hotels for people who already have it and also for people
who don't have it but are getting so advanced in years that they no
longer consider it a major risk.
