Janet, you missed the part where I wrote:
"I am a strong believer in in a good education system so I don't mind,"
I don't mind paying taxes to support schools. In fact, I hate
politicians who boast on how they cut spending (or taxes) at the expense
of our school system.
What I am against is paying taxes to support schools, only to hae the
schools turn their students into fund raisers to pay for programs like
band, sports, etc. Children should be learning, not hawking candy bars
so the band has uniforms.
