Expired?
I was just reading a little of Shirley Corriher's "CookWise". She mentions
that as cornstarch ages sitting around in a box in the pantry it will have
less and less of a thickening ability. There's no 'best used by' sort of
date on my cornstarch but I'm thinking 1947 might be close. We know to
check the dates on baking powder and other items. Better replace the
cornstarch too. Polly
