Birch Sap Wine Question
I am making 5 gallons of Birch sap wine.
The recipe is for 1 gallons and calls for bringing the sap to a boil before
adding the yeast. There is no problem to bring one gallon to a boil cooling
it and adding the yeast. However, with a batch of 5 gallons I cannot find a
large enough pot to boil 5 gallons at one time. So I wonder if its
necessary to bring the sap to a boil?
