My original point was that Sheldon could have simply written;

"Go to your cupboard and take out a glass maple syrup container with
maple syrup in it, gaze at it and imagine the flavour of this maple
syrup I was given."

That bit of text would have added just as much to the post as the
picture of a standard maple syrup bottle containing something which we
are assured is indeed maple syrup!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but, in this case,
Sheldon's picture is just superfluous noise.
