You can also buy new caps for used bottles. That's been possible even
before the tamper proof caps were invented. I can recall buying new
crown seals for when my kids were making their own ginger beer. From
memory, we washed out beer bottles, filled them with the ginger beer,
then applied the crown seals with a special tool and a hammer.
Hmm, I wonder if the grandchildren want to do this? Might be able to
squeeze this activity in between the computer games, computers and
mobile phone activities. Different generation now with different ideas.
