I think I'd use Gruyere instead of Pecorino Romano cheese. Besides the
fact that it melts better, I think the flavor would match the other
ingredients better. But the term "spring vegetable pizza" seems a bit
misleading, since it's an asparagus-and-mushroom pizza, and mushrooms
are not particular harbingers of spring the way that green peas,
asparagus, and artichokes are.
