The Larousse is the reference for cooking questions. It's where you go when
you want to know something. While it has recipes they are very general and
you wouldn't follow them unless you yourself knew the primary recipe for the
dish. For me it's for suggestions based on classical cooking. It's
excellent. Though I don't use my two editions very often I'm very glad
they're in the bookshelf.
