Yup, that's the one I started with too after reading of your exploits. I
use 100 proof vodka to steep the peels, and either 100 proof or 80 proof
for the second addition. I have upped the sugar content a bit also.
I can easily obtain Everclear grain alcohol but boy is that stuff
caustic! I prefer the 100 proof vodka.
