Mine wasn't interested in the counter except as a step. He would jump on the
end of the counter next to the fridge, then jump on fridge, then up to the
top of the cabinets. He had a favorite spot up there where he could watch
from above as I cooked or did dishes.

As with most cats, Mr.Kitty was the leader here. He allowed me to live here
and take care of him.
