Yes, it's built into the tray. It said to pick the pointy end of the
egg, but I had egg coming out of the hole, and read somewhere that someone
picks the large end. I did that the last couple of times and no egg came
out. The difference is that there is a flatish spot on the end. No prob
with that though. It doesn't take much water no matter how many eggs you
put in. I usually do two for breakfast. Thanks....Sharon
