I just had some. We have a big jar of the stuff in the kitchen. It never
occurred to me to try it before. It tastes like any number of European
chocolate/hazelnut confections. The idea of eating this sweet frosting
on a slice of bread makes me cringe but I can see how it would be OK on
a crepe. My son ordered a Nutella crepe when we ate breakfast at a crepe
joint a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was a nutty thing to order and
he asked if I wanted to have a taste but I said, "I'll pass." The good
news is that it's doesn't taste as bad as I imagined, being more
chocolately rather than hazelnutty. OTOH, I'm not that crazy about
chocolate either.
