The high fat diet isn't for people who've never been seriously
overweight. A diet that is mostly low glycemic carbs is fine for
folks who've never had weight issues. No one should go too low fat
because there are essential fatty acids. Bad things can
happen...bad...bad things. This really works for me. There are a few
things I miss, mostly fruit, but by the time my plums ripen, I should
be stabilized enough to enjoy them in moderation. I don't miss bread
or potatoes much, nor rice. Your disagreement with my high fat diet
should be purely aesthetic though. Calling it unhealthful would be
very incorrect. I eat way more fiber than the average high carb
eater. I even supplement fiber sometimes. Today, I'm sure I consumed
at least half a cup of psyllium husk with probably a half a gallon of
water.

I have tamed the insulin beast. I'm no less the hedonist, but now my
mind controls my eating, instead of my bodily urges doing so. I eat
richly, and this is completely sustainable. Breakfast was a scramble
of eggs, peppers, tomatoes and cheese, with a tall glass of iced
coffee with half&half. I'd also made 4 sausage patties that I
literally forgot about when serving breakfast, so those and a bunch of
psyllium was lunch, and I had few strawberries from my plot at the
community garden because I was there checking my plot and noticed some
ripe ones. Dinner was taco meat, refried beans, pico de gallo,
guacamole, and a little cheese, with two homemade margaritas made with
fresh squeezed lime and lemon, sweetened with sucralose. After I post
this, I'm walking to the garden so my wife can pick strawberries--she
needs me to lift off the bird excluder, as she's still recovering from
surgery. I haven't been physically hungry once today. I'm going to
put some marg in a plastic cup to take up to the garden. I'm not
going to be putting on any bodyfat today.
