I never buy dried beans of any type. My modification of baked beans is
always to add dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mostly, I use
garbanzos to make hummus and I *long ago* tried dry garbanzos but could
not tell any different result from canned ones.

I wonder if lentils count as beans? I do make Indian Dal with dried lentils.
