I saw the Beatles, and it turned me off large venue concerts. As soon as
the Beatles came on stage all the girls started screaming, some sort of
mass hysteria. I guess that is what they figured you are supposed to do
at a Beatles concert. I never heard a note.


It was almost a complete waste of time. The opening act of King Curtis,
who played a style of music I did not appreciate at the time. I learned
just a few years ago that the guitarist for King Curtis on that tour was
Jimi Hendrix. If it is not a huge shame that I was so disappointed in
the Beatles concert, I saw Jimi Hendrix in concert and didn't even
realize it until 40 years later.
