My bank has no charge if you have direct deposit. You can buy checks
from a half dozen places though, cheaper than the bank.

This is for CT and may vary in other states where People Bank does
business.

Free checking with:
Direct Deposit, or
Age 65 or older.


If you don't have direct deposit, just keep a low $750 minimum daily
balance in your checking account and there's no monthly fee.
