I think that's fine. I don't see anything wrong with the users stepping
up to the plate to preserve their own thing. I used to post on old
bulletin board systems and I thought that was great time. Too bad the
old bulletin boards got overshadowed by Usenet. OTOH, there are a lot of
great web-based forums out there.
